It has been quite a long while since april fool had passed. Lets see what our class have done to our teachers for the day! Actually the first few lessons before recess we didn't do anything to our teachers. It was after recess, during physic (Mr Fan's lesson) when one of our classmate -peiwen gave an idea and said lets trick miss goh later during her CD lesson.
Mr Fan's lesson was supposed to start at 11.15a.m and end at 12.15p.m but we planned with Mr Fan that we will trick miss goh when she arrived at 12.15 and tell her that her lesson was suppose to start from 12.45, and Mr Fan agreed the deal with us but he said that he can't stay for too long as he is having another lesson with the lower secondary, and we said okay!
The first bell rang at 12.15p.m and someone shouted: "miss goh is on the way here!". Our class was so anxious but everyone in class co-operated with one another and work according to the plan. Within two minutes miss goh was outside the class but she didn't come near the class because she thought we were about to finish our physics lesson. So she waited outside and everyone in class pretended to be listening to Mr Fan but for the fact we are all just pretending
5 minutes had pass but miss goh still did not come and take a look so one of our classmate decided to pretend to be thrown out of class by Mr Fan and she walked out and stand at the window.
She was 'surprise' to see miss goh out side the class when it was still 'suppose' to be Mr Fan's lesson

My favorite food
Singapore is well known as a food paradise and Singapore is also a country with different races and different ethnic groups. Singapore also have many foreigners, and therefore it means Singapore have lots of different kind of food and it also mean that we have a lot of GOOD food! Right? So it isn’t surprising for some of the people to have a lot of favorite food.

But for me, should I call it my favorite cuisine? Because I LOVE almost all the food in the Japanese cuisine and especially those food in my aunt’s restaurant! The sashimi there is so NICE! The fish that are use for the sashimi is so fresh. The soba there is also VERY nice especially the cha soba and zaru soba! There is also a dish where they cook the shellfish on the plate and pour some soup into the shellfish and boil it. When it is done we can drink the soup directly form the shell, and the taste of the soup is so sweet and the shell fish is so nicely done that we want to have another serving. But this dish is only for a certain season. So we will only be able to get it for that particular season.

Another dish that i enjoy a lot is the appetizers, that is the barbecue puffer fish slice. It taste great by itself but it taste even better with mayonnaise and caviar , the original taste of the puffer fish is sweet but with mayonnaise it is sort of sweet and sour and the bits of caviar maybe the puffer fish more 'crunchy'. Seriously there are too much good food in Singapore but i still love Japanese cuisine the most.

First day of school in secondary 1

It has been awhile studying in Kent Ridge, sometimes I will start to think back, at the days when I just came to this school. It wasn’t a pleasant one for me as I had a terrible nose bleed when I am on the way to school. My mum was telling me about things like the life in a secondary school compared to a primary school will be very different while she accompanied me to school.

I remembered that I was somewhere near to the school’s back gate and I suddenly felt that there is something that is going to flow out of my nose, but at first I thought that I am having a flu, so I used a piece of tissue paper to blow my nose. After doing that, I smelt blood so I took a look at the tissue paper and on it I saw blood! First, I thought it was okay, but when I continue walking I can feel more coming out and it didn’t seem to stop. I nearly stained my blouse the first time. But for the second time I couldn’t prevent my blouse from being stained by the blood that was coming out from the nose, but I thought that I would be late if I were to go home and change into another set of uniform. So I just went to school with the stained uniform.

When I first stepped into the school, my first impression was it was HUGE! And at the point of time I felt lucky to be in this school. Then there was councilors guiding us to the hall to sit in our classes. We did the same thing as we did in primary school such as singing the national anthem. After the anthem, we were to sit down and listen to the teachers’ speeches and introduction of the school. I was already quite worn out after the talk; we were brought back to our classes to meet the form teachers of our class.

I was surprise and also considering myself fortunate, as I had most of my primary school friends in my class and we don’t have much communication problems in the first day, instead we had a lot of fun.

After staying in class with the form teacher for an hour, the student leaders’ in-charge of our class came. They brought us around the school, showing us all the facilities that we can use in school. After touring around the school we were sort of understood where we can go if we want to use the facilities.

The next item on the programme for us was ice-breakers and all of us were just simply enjoying them.

Last but not least we were also asked to learn a dance called the mass dance and it was rather interesting. And that was all for my first day of school, it was tiring but yet fun and I had also learnt to work in a brand new environment.

Dear miss tan,

It had been some time that we have not met. How are you doing now? It is now 2008 and many changes had occurred in my life this year. From the start of the year, I felt that the stress that is coming from the teachers, talking about o levels from the day school reopens. From that day onwards teachers had been training us how to do stuffs so that we can score well for o levels. Even though there is stress, but our class will never fail to have a little laughter now and then. This really helps a lot as the atmosphere won’t be so tense up. And this year we are no longer allowed to play that main focus for us is to study well and score well for o levels!

Changes do occur now and then, the changes of class and some of our classmates whom are unable to join our class this year. These changes may affect us, but we just need to adapt to it. Many of my subject’s teachers changed except for food and nutrition teacher and the class and I just need some more time to adapt to such change. The different in their teaching style are totally different and it is hard for us to cope at the beginning of the year, as it is too sudden for us.

There are also changes that affect the whole school, the school uniform. The new principle has changed some things on our uniform, the school badge. In the past we used to have our badge as a collar pin but for now we have to iron-on the badge on the left hand side of the uniform as to replace the collar pin, due to the feedbacks of some students saying that having to buy a collar pin is too expensive and they will also tend to misplace the collar pin easily. Therefore there are really too many changes for me from the start of 2008 till now.
